At The Seaside – Holga (Photography)

Saltburn, County Durham, August 2008. In black and white.

Taken with Holga and Ilford XP2.

This disturbing character is advertising hot food. He’s a cone of chips (fries for my American friends) and he appears to be eating himself. Weird.  Perfect Holga subject material though!

I really like these photos :) they have a real nostalgic feel about them, like remembering a family day at the beach as a child.

  2. Nina says:

Black and white really is so much more evocative. I remember when we got our first color Polaroid (50′s) and everything abt it seemed so cool:-)

  3. adam says:

Wonderful shots, I especially like the first one with the tableau of figures distributed across the beach – that is excellent.
