Going on sale in my Folksy shop Christmas cards new designs for 2011.

Stand out by sending special cards to your friends this Christmas. You won’t find these cards on the high street. The cards are from my original art work.

They are left blank inside for your own message.

Only a limited number of these cards are being produced so get them while you can.

Christmas Card Packs

Each pack has 4 cards of the same design. The cards are 105mm x 148mm printed on silky smooth 300gsm card of excellent quality and come with envelopes.

They cost £4.35 a pack (4 cards of same design in each pack)

Baby Maud (Pop Up Card)

Pop up card I made to congratulate my brother and his wife on their new baby Maud.

Maud has long legs, big feet and a full head of hair.

Only a limited number of these cards are being produced. Each card is cut and assembled by hand so each is slightly different.

These will be listed soon on my Folksy shop ready for Valentines 2011.

Only available in the UK as I can’t guarantee delivery for international buyers I’m afraid.

Simon’s 40th Birthday Pop Up Card

My brother Simon turned 40 in November and I made him a pop up card with balloons, cake and a fab outfit for him.

I scanned my drawings then coloured them and arranged the pop up tab design in photoshop. I printed the card and the pop up pieces then assembled by hand. The card is approx 125mm square when folded.

I also made a gift box for his present as I couldn’t find the right size and they were really expensive to buy. So I used this simple tutorial with a cereal box and power pritt stick. Then I covered each half with a sheet of A4 printed with a design I made on photoshop. I was pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Cosy Giraffe – Christmas Pop Up Card

Card is approx 99mm x 210mm when folded flat.

Drawn by hand, scanned & digitally coloured with pop up tabs designed on photoshop. Printed then assembled by hand.

Christmas Card range for 2010

Here’s a sneak preview of my 2010 range of Christmas cards which I’ll be listing in my shop from the first week in November (next week).  Four card designs in packs and four pop up cards. I’ll blog all the designs in more detail soon including some movie clips of the pop ups in action.

The packs of 4 cards (one design per pack) feature a sweet snowman, a person all wrapped up for Christmas (literally), a polar bear Santa and some festive baubles with a mischievious cat reflected in them.

There’s also 4 new pop up designs featuring a pile of pengins, a snow hug, a cheery seasons greetings from the North Pole and a bundle of festive fun.

Creative For A Second

This is part of the 2nd project from Creative for a Second where 6 travelling art journals are making their way around the world and people with ME are adding their creative works to the pages.

Entitled “Creative for a Second or Two” the aim is for work from the journals to be exhibited to co-incide with ME/CFS Awareness Day May 12th 2011

Partipicants come from all over the world including Australia, USA and Europe. All have ME/CFS and contributions can be drawn, painted, stitched, written, photographed or just about anything else you can create to sit in the pages of a journal.

The Facebook group is where people are posting up pictures and videos are their work in the journals and new friendships are emerging from this great collaborative project.

www.creativeforasecond.com is the official site but there’s not much info on this 2nd project on there at the moment.
