Gig View – Gig Feel (Doodle)

Bit of background to these doodles …

Went to see my favourite band Barenaked Ladies last night at Birmingham Carling Academy.  A wonderful, entertaining, amazing gig – they were just brilliant (as was the support Boothby Graffoe).

As I’m not well at the moment we used a wheelchair last night and had a reservation in the “disabled viewing area”.  Not that they should use the word “viewing” as the massive wooden rail around the top of the balcony is at just the right height to block your view of the entire stage if you’re in a wheelchair, or even in a seat.

So it was a mixed bag- our view sucked (along with everyone else who wasn’t able to stand for the gig) but the music and the vibe from the band was warm and wonderful.

Here’s my doodles to that effect …
