[PHOTO] Wheelchair at Barnard Castle – Nikon D40 with wide angle lens

My wheelchair inside the castle at Barnard Castle, County Durham. I got up briefly to take a photo and we had an Andy & Lou ‘Little Britain’ moment when my husband came back around a corner to find my chair empty and me nowhere to be seen!

My cheap wide angle (fisheye) lens distorts the photo especially near the edges of the frame and with high contrast in the image.

I have a photo like this on the Appalachian Trail this summer. My empty chair sits at the junction of a boardwalk and a long set of stairs that lead to an old wooden bridge. I took the shot from the bridge deck. I find the photo evocative… but I can’t really put into words what it evokes.
