Angel of The North with LoFi (Photography)

I did say i took way too many photographs of the Angel of the North but I didn’t mention I took too many photos on 3 different cameras. The digital SLR with cheap wide angle lens shots I have shown already.

Here’s a selection from my Holga and my Vivitar Ultra Slim and Wide with some comparison shots for fun.

Holga FN – with Kodak 400VC:

If you look at this one large you can see that sweet spot for focus on the Holga and how soft the focus is around the edges of the frame. The man you see is a stranger – I wonder how his photos turned out.

Holy moly!! What an impressive sculpture/statue. It looks like wood, but it must be bronze – no? All the elements………

  2. It’s made of steel. 66 feet (20 metres) high. Wings are 178 feet (54 metres) across.

The artist is Anthony Gormley and this is the photo of the Angel on his own web site

  3. dillon says:

    truly magnificent
